Траблы с пакетом color.

Возникла небольшая проблема при использовании пакета color. Не подскажете в чём может быть дело?

PDFLaTeX не может создать pdf-ку. Код такой, например:

Насколько я понял из поверхностного гугления, эта строчка нужна при проблемах с кириллицей. На будущее учту, но для текущего вопроса это неактуально.

Причём, если в коде, приведённом выще, внутри \begin{document} / \end{document} писать любой бред, не могущий скомпилироваться, результат тот же - PDFLaTeX failed to create a pdf file.

А автору сборки с того торрент-трекера задали такой вопрос? Я думаю это проблема сборки.
И еще: если убрать \usepackage{color}, то все нормально?

Задал. Пока ответа не получил. Надеялся, может кто здесь юзал нечто подобное.

Если \usepackage{color} убрать, всё норм. Более того, если писать \usepackage[dvips]{color} то pdf собирается, но текст внутри \textcolor{red}{red text} чёрно-белый.

Может попробовать обновить этот пакет, то есть установить по новому, так как причина может быть в отсутствии необходимых вспомогательных файлов http://tug.ctan.org/tex-archive/macros/latex/required/graphics/?...

MiKTeX Package Manager пытается загрузить недостающие пакеты, но обламывается, т.к. в этой сборке прописано грузить с директории, которой у меня нет. И, видимо, всё будет хорошо, если научить его грузить их из инета.

Если в окне Change Package Ropository просто указать грузить пакеты из инета, выдаёт:

Data: get host by name failed in tcp_connect()

Какой адрес прокси-сервера надо указать в Connection Settings?

С приведённой ссылкой я не разобрался. Следуя readme пишу latex graphics.ins. На что latex выдаёт, что не может найти такой файл.
